does anyone or did anyone spin before?

I have found this a while ago and saved it in my book marks... for the life of me I cannot remember how I came across this... must be getting old...!! just rediscovered it and remembered how cool I thought it was... I have never spun before but this looks like something cool to try...

you know what Wayne...? I thought of Billie when posting this... Kellie too... they both knit beautifully... something to do with those newspapers... If you guys are not careful you might be made to spin while the girls knit! now wouldn't that be a hoot...!

Wow! I can't believe that is newspaper. I have seen some crochet plastic strips but not newspaper. Hmmmn

I spin. Have a wheel. But have not spun in quite some time. Not since I was injured on the job and became 22% disabled in my right hand. It tends to cramp on me even when I have to write for more than just a few minutes. I miss spinning and the small group of ladies that I used to spin with.
But I've never heard of spinning newsprint. I don't think it would work on my wheel as it appears that she is using a drop spindle. Hum? I wonder where I put my drop spindle. And if my hand could handle that? I just might have to try it

not hurting yourself in the process though...... it might be good therapy for your hand as long as you start slow and build it's strength...
