WE HAVE A VISITOR FROM NEW YORK

Our son Jason has spent the last two weeks visiting a teacher and friend from face book. She has taken him to all the cool places to see, eat and even saw the Lion King. They have posted a ton of photos on his FB page so we can enjoy the sights too. He brought her back with him last night( about 5 am ) and we are waiting this morning for them to wake up so we can meet her. She celebrated his birthday last Thursday with a special dinner, cake and balloons. The entire family and a bunch of friends will be here today to have another birthday party. I had better start cooking now so I'll try to post some pics. later.

I think it is Woods in the Queens Area. She is originally from the Philippines. I'll find out for sure and try to post a pic. soon. Wayne had cataract surgery today so it might take a couple days. We spent 5 hours testing and sitting around for a 15 minute surgery. LOL Exhausted.

All went well. The eye is healing well. I do have to protect it and use two different drops several times a day for the next three weeks. It was not half as bad as I had imagined. They put some kind of tent "thingie" over my eye that he worked in, so I could not see or feel anything. I was expecting to have to lie there watching, while he came at my eye with a scalpel. The tent "thingie" made that fear go away.

I had a cataract removed from my right eye, which requires an artificial lens to be placed under the cornea. I now have a bionic eye.

Here are some pics from our sons GF Cly (pronounced like Cellie) from New York. She came to visit for a couple of weeks, and we had tons of fun.

DW Billie taught Cly how to make candles. She had a marathon class with Jay, Cly, and friends Emily, Greg, and nephew Josh down in G-ma's lab for a full day. They made pillars, tarts, containers, and soaps. Billie had loads of fun and they did too.

Jay took Cly to shooting range with his Glock. She is actually quit good and learned from her father in the Philippines.
