What's... In your Soap Pot?

I am getting my head around what I want to make still but definitely making soap tomorrow...

All that's definite now is that I bought a cucumber and plan to use 50% Olive oil...
Oh and as the soap was a request... I have BM... BM and Cucumber...

was gonna try green and cream/white swirls...

Can anyone help me with a name for this one?

That sounds like a great soap Riaan. You could call it cucumber -n- milk or cucumber cream.

I am going to try to get a brown sugar and fig done. I am working on my website so I don't know for sure but I think making soap will make for a nice break at some point.

You know I didn't know how I was going to link milk and cucumber but cucumber milk sounds kinda cool as is...

Brown sugar and fig sounds soooooo good... Thinking of which I haven't had figs for yonks...!! Don't see them in Taiwan!!

Oh Riaan your sounds sounds like it's going to be awesome. I'm so intrigued by the idea of BM soap, lol. I'm very curious as to what properties it yeilds. If they are similar at all to adding GM or cream or whole milk, buttermilk, etc.

And Kellie Brown Sugar & Fig? OMG's!! It sounds delish! I just want to lick it!! LOL!

I think I'm going to try another batch or two of liquid soap using the pectin method. It was just so much fun and satisfing. And we've been putting in another flower bed in the early morning and evenings when it's cool out. So I can only soap when we aren't working on that

hehe!! let's hope the gremblins left me after I dropped a 500ml bottle of fragrance oil...

I think I used too much coloring pigment... I have never used it before and was in a bit of a hurry... it was a rust color and when water was added it just bloomed into the darkest green that turned rust again as soon as it touched soap... hope it doesn't bleed... I tried an in the pot swirl but might have mixed it all too much... the soap was lumped into the molds... and there it sits now... please pray for me!! I think I cooked the milk mixture even while I was working in an ice bath stirring the lye... could have also been the sugars in the cucumber turning brown... the pigment says it is green between 6 and 8 pH... lets pray I don't have rust soap too!! hehe!

I think I have messed the soap up with the colorant... not green at all... maybe tomorrow... pray! why do I always ruin things with spur of the moment addons after all the careful planning of all the rest... not the first time!!! an ugly icky baby poo color!

I'm sorry Riaan that it hasn't turned out quite the way that you wanted. But I'm sure it is still a lovely soap properties wise. Have you posted pics yet in the gallery? I'll go look

kellie it is changing color... I'll see what it still does but it is definitely green now... not brown anymore...
